LC Lawyers LLP

An independent Hong Kong law firm

LC Lawyers LLP announced today the appointment of Kareena Teh as a partner. Kareena will lead the team in Hong Kong and is responsible for advising clients on general corporate and commercial disputes, regulatory and compliance matters as well as governance in Greater China and Asia-Pacific.

LC Lawyers LLP is an independent law firm that offers legal services to financial institutions, corporate clients and private enterprises doing business in and through Hong Kong. LC Lawyers LLP, working closely with law firms in the EY global network of law firms, advises on banking and finance, corporate finance, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, regulatory investigations and Chinese outbound investments.

Also joining LC Lawyers LLP recently are four other legal professionals, including Counsel, Philip Kwok. The firm will work closely with EY Assurance, Tax, Transactions and Advisory teams to provide commercially focused advice to clients in Greater China and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

With the addition of Kareena and other new colleagues, our firm will be better equipped to provide a wider range of legal services. At times of Sino-US trade disputes and the potential economic slow-down, it is more important to be able to provide help to clients in areas such as regulatory investigations, shareholders’ remedies, and asset recovery actions.
Rossana Chu
Co-Managing Partner of LC Lawyers LLP
We are thrilled that Kareena and her colleagues have joined LC Lawyers LLP. Kareena brings a great depth of experience and knowledge in compliance and investigation and they will make a great addition to the expanding legal team in Hong Kong and across Asia-Pacific.
Jim Hunter
EY Asia-Pacific Tax Leader

Kareena has over 30 years of experience in helping clients in the region to investigate facts and resolve conflicts and controversies before courts, tribunals, and government and regulatory bodies in various jurisdictions, as well as manage risks and crisis, and find commercial solutions for their business challenges. She was also distinguished as the first female solicitor in Hong Kong to be granted higher rights of audience, an established designation that permits certain highly qualified litigators to represent clients in court on civil matters at all levels of Hong Kong’s judicial system.

I have long worked with other professionals in helping clients identify and mitigate risks, manage crisis and find solutions for business challenges. I am excited to be joining LC Lawyers LLP at this time, and to have the opportunity to provide multi-disciplinary services to clients in an increasingly challenging business environment.
Kareena Teh
