Alex’s practice focuses on assisting international corporations, banks, financial institutions and high net worth individuals in international and domestic complex commercial litigation and arbitration in a broad range of areas, such as shareholder disputes, joint venture disputes, contractual disputes and corporate governance. He also assisted in regulatory investigations and compliance matters in a broad range of areas, such as anti-bribery and corruption and anti-money laundering.

  • Hong Kong High Court proceedings for the executive directors of a Hong Kong listed company in defending a derivative action commenced by a shareholder in relation to an alleged breach of director’s duties
  • Hong Kong High Court proceedings for a leading multinational corporation in the automotive industry in defending claims for damages
  • A joint venture partners’ dispute for a multi-national company in relation to the promotion and distribution of products in Mainland China
  • A HKIAC arbitration (for various Mainland Chinese sellers against a listed company for a claim for damages concerning the sale of mobile gaming business
  • Two HKIAC arbitrations and a related Hong Kong High Court action for a Mainland China company concerning a joint venture partners’ dispute
  • A SIAC arbitration for two individuals in claim for damages arising under a share purchase agreement against a NASDAQ-listed company
  • Hong Kong High Court proceedings for an individual in pursuing claims in Hong Kong in respect of a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of land in Mainland China
